Met Gala 2017: “The Black Attack”


This year’s Met Gala theme Comme des Garcons in honor of the fashion designer Rei Kawakubo was all about avant-garde. This year many celebrities stole the show and stuck to the creative theme. However; among those celebrities, there was one exceptional color that stood out from the rest. Black!


Black Attack

  1. Cassie and Diddy: Daunted their style with lots of layers and sparkle. Cassie looked great in her custom satin gown with lace, sparkled details and layered train. Her added bling ear piece was a hit. Diddy never shy of flaunting his fly was layered in a full length coat with matching suit. Both reflected a graphic design.

  2. Halle Berry:  Graced every bit of her first Met Gala appearance with style. Flawless in a creation by Comme des Garcon.  Halle dress with loaded with lots of silver and gold trimming. The added flare of her floral shape train sealed the deal. By far this is one of Halle’s best fashion moments of 2017.

  3. Nicki Minaj: Gave everyone life by adding drama to the event in her custom H&M gown. Nicki’s stylist teamed up with H&M to design the red and black ensemble with added details on train. The Kimono styled gown also featured the face of this year’s theme designer Rei Kawakuboa on the belt.
